From 21st to 25th September 2009 the 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (PVSEC) takes place at the Congress Centre and International Fair (CCH)  in Hamburg, Germany. The world's biggest exhibition and the most important international conference in the field of photovoltaics brings together the who's who of the photovoltaic industry. The market segment Building & Construction of company Lohmann/Germany is one of the exhibitors and will present its adhesive solutions for the energy industry in hall B2G, booth 54. With a broad range of high-technology adhesive tapes and many years of experience the company Lohmann provides customized answers, e.g. with special tapes for the framing of solar modules or for the bonding of junction boxes. Using adhesive technology for these applications offers a lot of advantages: the adhesive tapes or die-cuts have a defined thickness, they are easy and clean to handle, the application is less complicated and needs less servicing. Furthermore, as the modules can be moved and packed directly after the bonding, the cycle times of the complete process can be reduced. Lohmann´s product range DuploCOLL® IS (Insulating Tapes) is suitable for further photovoltaic applications. This electrically insulating single- and double-sided adhesive tape range is based on polyimide to protect electronic power components, e.g. for bonding and insulating "bus bars" in solar modules. The advantages of these special tapes are e.g. the high dielectric strength and ability to stay in form even at high temperatures, as well as excellent chemical resistance.
